November 16 Saturday Art Market Artist Application

Art Markets are a way to perpetuate the arts, engage the community, and empower the artist. Hoping to expand on the success of our monthly art nights (first Thursday of every month), Our Art Markets will be another opportunity for artists to display and sell their wares to the community. In April Kentuck's Art Market will be at 1901 Jack Warner Parkway, on the lawn next to the Transportation Museum across the street from Tuscaloosa's River Market. Artist Guidelines: Space allotted is roughly 10 ft to allow a 6 ft table. Each vendor may set their own prices and are responsible for their own payment processing as well as tax collection and remission. Artists will also need to submit the required license applications to Tuscaloosa City and County. The necessary documents are attached to this application. Vendors will be always solely responsible for the cleanliness within their vending area. All vendors must complete an application through Eventeny and be approved. Vendors must pay appropriate fees prior to the Saturday Art Market. If it is raining, the market will be cancelled and a refund will be given. Required Fees: $20 space rental, $40 if using 10x10 tent. All vendors must supply their own set up equipment, and please note that no staking is allowed. Again, to participate in this Art Market, all vendors must obtain licenses from Tuscaloosa City and County. If you do not obtain these licenses, you will not be able to participate and will not be refunded your space rental. 

In keeping with Kentuck's mission, Saturday Art Markets are a way to perpetuate the arts, engage the community, and empower the artist. In addition to our monthly Art Nights (1st Thursday), Saturday Art Markets are another opportunity for artists to display and sell their wares to the community. Kentuck’s Saturday Art Markets will be a place for community members to get together, shop, and experience Kentuck’s campus. There will be sidewalk chalk and a small $2 craft you and your little ones can enjoy. Come experience Kentuck and support local artists! Saturday Art Markets for 2024 are currently scheduled for the third Saturday of the month from 9:30am-2:00pm. The dates for 2024 are: Saturday, January 20 Saturday, February 17 Saturday, March 16 Saturday, April 20 Saturday, May 18 Saturday, June 15 Saturday, July 20 Saturday, August 17 Saturday, September 21 Saturday, November 16 Saturday, December 21 Saturday Art Markets are sponsored in part by the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

All artists must apply and be approved through Eventeny. To exhibit, all applications must be received by April 7th at 5 PM. Kentuck's fees for your space rental will be charged upon approval. To participate in this Art Market, all vendors must obtain licenses from Tuscaloosa City and County. If you do not obtain these licenses, you will not be able to participate and will not be refunded your space rental.
