JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL, INC - RULES AND REGULATIONS A. Required Meetings: Food Vendors with the Erie County Health Dept & Buffalo Fire Dept. on Thurs. May 30, 2024 at 5:30 PM at Merriweather Library (1324 Jefferson Ave. in Buffalo). Exhibitors, Community & Corporate Resources with Concessions Committee on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 5:30 PM at Merriweather Library. Festival & food preparation rules will be reviewed, and you will receive a Vendor packet with your location assignment. Confirmation of these meetings will be sent to accepted applicants in May so please monitor your email closely for updates. B. New This Year: All applications will be processed online through Eventeny, a secure registration platform and can be found at www.buffalojuneteenth.com under the Vendors section. A valid credit card is required when applying but it will only be charged if you are approved. The deadline for applications is May 17, 2024. Mailed or handed-in applications will NOT be reviewed. Concessions, Parade and Health have separate applications and fees. Last-minute requests and same-day applications will NOT be considered, and NO REFUNDS will be given. Juneteenth Festival, Inc. reserves the right to reject applications with just cause from vendors who have violated any Festival Rules, Regulations, and/or Policies and Procedures in prior years or those whose values do not align with the Festival’s mission. Juneteenth Festival, Inc. reserves the right to extend or close the concessions registration at any time due to space availability.D. Vendors will be assigned a specific location according to the date of online application and vendor category. Location requests and preferences can be made but cannot be guaranteed. Apply early to increase your chances for your ideal spot.E. Everything that you plan to sell/distribute must be on the application. There is an additional charge of $50 for food vendors/trucks selling fries. Vendors may not sell sno-cones, alcohol or merchandise with vulgar, offensive language or gestures. T-shirts must not contain “Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo” or any variation of these words. Weapons, personal sound equipment or amplifiers are prohibited. Community Resource vendors may not sell or have any exchange of money and must register as an Exhibitor to do so. Raffles of any kind are prohibited.F. Vendor fees include one (1) 12 by 12-foot space and all necessary permits for the applicable category for both festival days. If you want to sell food and merchandise, you must purchase both an Exhibitor and Food vendor space as separate permits are required. We do NOT provide tables, chairs, tents, propane tanks or electricity. Food vendors are required to have a canopy, unexpired fire extinguisher and other items specified at the orientation. Erie County Health and Buffalo Fire Departments will conduct inspections on festival Saturday morning. We obtain all permits on your behalf, but you must apply to the correct category. We are not responsible for lost fees or revenue due to inadequate permitting from inaccurate applications.G. Individuals displaying behavior deemed as threatening, aggressive or unsafe will be removed from the festival immediately. Juneteenth Security and Buffalo Police have the right to shut down any vendor that is in violation of these rules or as directed by the Concessions Committee or Erie County Health Dept. Signing this application constitutes an agreement that you shall take no legal action against Juneteenth Festival, Inc., Juneteenth Committees, directors, or agents for loss.H. Vendors may not sell, reassign, sublet, or share any part of their assigned space with another unregistered party. Violators will be removed, and all fees will be forfeited.
