Exhibitor Application

Welcome to The Extraordinary Black Youth Art Show - a multimedia showcase dedicated to celebrating and elevating the artistic talents of young Black creatives, aged 11-18. ELIGIBILITY: 

• Black Youth Exhibitors ages 11-18 are invited to apply.
• The show features a diverse range of artistic mediums, from traditional painting and sculpture to digital art, as well as innovative fashion design.

BOOTH SPACE

• Booth Space Cost: $125 | Application Fee: $10
• Booths should be simple and functional and should fit within a 6 x 6 floor space. All exhibitors are required to bring their own table, chairs, and any other materials necessary for display.
• Exhibitors are required to be on site by 11am for setup on the day of the event. Sales start at 1pm and end at 6pm.
• Booth set-up and tear-down should take no longer than one hour with minimal adult help.
• Space is assigned based on postmark or delivery date of completed application.
• Exhibitors must personally attend to their booths and must be present during the entire day. Representatives, including family members, may NOT attend in place of the artist.
• Exhibitors may not use their booths to display samples of items to be delivered later. Sales should be on a “cash and carry” basis.
• All artwork must be original and age appropriate for the event’s audience, much of which is under 18 years old.

The following are absolutely prohibited:

• The sale of offensive and defensive weapons, including toys and facsimiles, is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the sale of rubber band guns, pop-guns, swords, shields, light sabers, bows and arrows, items that launch a projectile, and Nerf weapons
• Graphic depictions of violence or nudity
• Commercial banners hanging in artists’ booths

 EXHIBITOR SALES

• Exhibitors keep 100% of their sales. 

 EVENT TIME

• Exhibitors are required to be on site by 1pm for setup on the day of event. Sales start at 1pm and end at 6pm. 
• Exhibitors are required to stay until the end of the event.

REFUNDS /CANCELLATION/VENDOR CREDIT: 
 
Black Youth Art Show DOES NOT offer refunds for any reason. No refunds in case of inclement weather, acts of nature, or restrictions by governmental agencies to cancel the event, over which Black Youth Art Show has no control. Vendor credit towards a future event will be assessed on an individual basis and dependent on special circumstances but NOT guaranteed as withdrawals/cancellations affect the whole exhibition. Any withdrawal/cancellation requests must be requested 2 weeks in advance of the event to be considered for vendor credit. 
 
ASSUMPTION OF RISK:
 
I agree to indemnify and hold Black Youth Art Show, their officials, staff, and agents harmless of and from any and all actions, causes of actions of every kind in law or equity, suits, debts, liens, contracts, agreements, promises, claims, liabilities, demands, damages, obligations, loss, costs, and expense of any nature whatsoever, known or unknown, fixed or contingent, including, with limitation, attorney’s fees and court costs through and including any appeals, taxable or otherwise, incurred, either directly or indirectly, as a result of my participation in the Black Youth Art Show, including but not limited to, any claims which might be made by myself, my co-workers, my agents, my employees, and/or any member of the general public.
 
I acknowledge that I am responsible for the security of my own property and expressly assume all risk of loss and/or damage to property arising either directly or indirectly from my participation in the Black Youth Art Show. I understand and agree that Black Youth Art Show is in no way responsible for my property or its safekeeping.
