About the application

ELIGIBILITY: 
(please read thoroughly)

The show is open to all art and craft media of original design created by the applicant. Commercially made items are not allowed. We reserve the right to ask artists to remove items that do not adhere to this policy or do not meet Festival standards.

ENTRY FEES: 
  • Administration Fee: $40.00 (non-refundable & charged upon submission)
  • Registration/Space Fee: $220.00 for 10’ x 10’ space, $440.00 for 10’ x 20’ space
Registration/Space Fee will be charged after contract signed.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:  
  • Application must be received electronically by April 1, 2024.
  • Festival board will review applications with final selections confirmed by April 30th, 2024 (applicants who did not get selected will be notified as well)
  • Contracts will be sent and must be completed no later than May 15th, 2024

SECURITY
We will provide security on the festival grounds from 8:00 p.m. on Friday through 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, and from 6:00 p.m. Saturday until 8:00 a.m. Sunday.  Festival personnel will be present from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Note that there will not be security in the parking area so leave your vehicle overnight at your own risk.

SPACE AND DISPLAY INFORMATION:
Onsite artists will be spaced approximately 6’ apart. Artists may choose a space for a 10’x10’ tent or 10’ x 20’ tent, each with a 1 foot apron in front. No additional space may be used without prior approval from the executive director. Artists must provide their own display and props. No booth may be constructed of materials that may be dangerous to the public. Spaces may not be shared unless approved by the director.  Artists’ booths must be staffed at all times and sales conducted from the artist’s assigned space. Artists may not change their space location without the approval of the Art Festival Director.

SALES TAX:
Artists must charge and collect 7.125% MN state sales tax. A copy of the artist’s sales tax permit must be available at the booth .

INSURANCE AND LOSS OR DAMAGE TO ARTIST’S PROPERTY:
Dakota Center for the Arts and the Eagan Art Festival carries liability insurance that protects itself; however, our insurance does not protect the artist. Artists are responsible for their own liability insurance and protection for their property. Dakota Center for the Arts and the Eagan Art Festival will not be responsible for loss or damage to the artist’s property.

CANCELLATION: 
We understand life happens. If you are unable to attend the festival, we ask that you notify the executive director at director@eaganartfestival.org as soon as possible and there will be no cancellation fee. Artists unable to attend may not transfer or sell their space to anyone else. Any no show without communication will affect the artist’s eligibility for future participation. Fees are non-refundable in the event of a festival cancellation due to inclement weather. 

Prices

Administrative Fee $40 Non-refundable There is a $40 non-refundable application fee which is charged upon application.
10x10 Booth $220 Non-refundable Single booth space is 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep. Booths are spaced 6' apart for Covid 19 safety.
10x20 Booth $440 Non-refundable Two 10'x10' spaces linked together.
