Live at the Plaza is a free summer concert series that occurs in downtown Tuscaloosa at Government Plaza every Friday in May and June from 6pm to 9pm. The event features local live performances, food trucks, and vendors in a family-friendly atmosphere.

About the application

The tenth annual Live at the Plaza summer concert series is back for 2024! Every Friday in May and June the City will feature a local band in the family-friendly atmosphere of Government Plaza. The shows are held from 6 to 9 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
 
A limited number of spaces will be available for mobile food vendors on Gary Fitts Street (formerly called 6th St).  All food vendors will be required to have an active  mobile food vending license or a City of Tuscaloosa franchise license. 
 
Cost: There is a $25 Non-Refundable fee for each Live at the Plaza event attended. If you pay by credit card, there is an additional credit card processing fee. Credit card invoices will be sent the Monday before the event. Cash and checks (payable to the City of Tuscaloosa) will be accepted at the Special Events office located in the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. Money will be due by 12 p.m. the day before the event. No day of payments will be accepted.
