56th Annual Sons & Daughters of Erin St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival, Water Street District Henderson March 15th, 16th, and 17th. The theme will be “Family, Friends & Shenanigans”. The parade will start at 10:00 AM. Saturday, March 16, 2024. The parade route will be down Water St, beginning at Ocean Ave and concluding at Victory Rd (exiting West on Victory Rd). Staging areas will be on Ocean Ave between Van Wagenen and Haynes, and Water St between Ocean Ave and Minor. The staging areas will be assigned after March 3rd. Non-Parade entry vehicles will not be allowed in the staging area. Entries that contain multiple people are to inform their participants to park and walk to their staging location or drop off at the nearest intersection (Van Wagenen & Ocean, Minor & Water, or Haynes & Ocean). All entries shall be staged in their designated space by 9am. The entry needs to display their designated entry number on the front of the entry (for vehicles, it may be displayed in the front, passenger side window). We are once again asking for an entry fee of $50 for each parade unit. This fee goes toward offsetting our costs for facilitating the parade each year. Every year we strive to have the best parade that Southern Nevada has ever seen. We need your support to make that happen. Please follow the rules below. 1 – Absolutely NO objects may be thrown from parade entries. Those handing out objects to the crowds must NOT approach floats when turning nor is climbing on and off the float permitted. No participants are permitted to ride on the front bumpers of parade entries. 2 - To lend additional color and flavor to the occasion, and to increase spectator appeal, we request a minimum decoration requirement. All autos and trucks shall be decorated from window down (except special industrial equipment, antique autos, and special interest autos). You may display any number of suitable identifying cards relating to your business or organization. 3 – Entries must not be wider than 20 feet or taller than 17 feet. 4 - All entries must move in a forward direction and keep pace with the parade procession. No stopping to perform at any time during the parade. 5 - No alcohol will be allowed in the parade staging area or is to be consumed or carried by the parade participants during the parade. 6 - All participants must be dressed in Family Acceptable dress code. NO Water Guns, Water Balloons or Spraying of Water or Silly String are allowed from entries. We reserve the right to deny entry if the terms and conditions are not adhered to. 7 - All animal entries are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Thank you again for your parade entry. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s event. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail or phone.
