SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2024 Come paint a landscape painting inspired by a quilt pattern called "Fireweed Trail"! Artist Cheryl Gordon will assist you with step-by-step instruction to create this unique painting. You will be using masking tape, stencils, and acrylic paints to create this work of art. All materials will be provided. No prior experience necessary. $50 per person

Come join artist Karen Mazzoline as she guides you through the process of drawing facial features and complete a portrait with proportions. Practice working on eyes, noses, mouths, and ears to create a portrait of your very own! Choose from a variety of media (pencil, colored pencil, tempera paint, and ink) or utilize more than one to create a unique mixed media work. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon on September 21 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM, where you’ll have the opportunity to sculpt up to two unique ring bowls or small dishes using vibrant polymer clay. Experiment with marbling colors, crafting coils, or creating playful cutouts—your imagination is the only limit! Led by talented artist Cheryl Gordon, this workshop welcomes adults and older teens alike. All materials are included, so come ready to create and have fun! Using simple weaving techniques, Cheryl Gordon will teach students how to create a beautiful landscape tapestry weaving. This weaving will use various weights of yarn to give a subtle textured appearance to the finished tapestry. Students will learn plain weaving, overlapping, joints, diagonal slits, hatching, dovetail interlock and interlocking weft during the tapestry construction. A shadow box frame loom will be provided to create this work of art. Bring a sack lunch to take a break midway through this full day workshop. Class fee: $75.00.
