Denny Rohe Texas State Championship Barbecue Cook-Off at the Terrell Jubilee
Starts on Saturday, April 27th, 2024
Terrell, Texas, United States
About the event
Indulge in the smoky allure of Texas barbecue at the heart of the annual Terrell Jubilee's Texas State Championship Barbecue Cook-Off! This sizzling showdown invites pitmasters from far and wide to showcase their grilling prowess in two thrilling divisions – the Local and Pit divisions. To enter the Local Division, the head cook's home address must proudly bear the zip codes 75160 or 7516. Local teams, however, have the chance to double their fun by participating in both divisions. But that's not all – the competition gets even more intense with special sections dedicated to the mastery of Pinto beans and cobbler creations. Whether you have a secret family recipe for beans that tantalize taste buds or a cobbler that can steal the show, there's a spot for your culinary prowess. This year, we're proud to announce that the Terrell Jubilee's Texas State Championship Barbecue Cook-Off will be a dedicated memorial for our dear friend and dedicated chamber volunteer, Denny Rohe. Denny's passion for community and love for great barbecue will infuse every moment of this event, making it even more special. Expect a friendly atmosphere as the community gathers for this delicious competition. The event is not just about the competition; it's a celebration of Texas barbecue culture and a tribute to Denny's enduring legacy. Join us for an unforgettable day filled with mouthwatering aromas, heartfelt memories, and the thrill of friendly rivalry. To all the barbecue enthusiasts and culinary wizards out there – bring your best, bring the heat, and let's make this Texas State Championship Barbecue Cook-Off an epic event! 🍖🔥
