Summerfest Arts Faire 2025

Create a secure space for bicycles and skateboards. Your responsibilities will encompass tagging bikes upon arrival, overseeing the area, and returning the tags to owners when they collect their belongings. This role involves sitting and standing, in a fairly shaded area. Chair provided.

Help keep snacks & beverages refreshed for the artists for when they come in for a break. Indoors, air conditioned.

Help teachers & visitors as they create art projects, participate in dance, theatre, & music activities, & more. Standing, walking, bending, some sitting; sun & shade.

Where all the plein air contest art is displayed and sold in our silent auction. We need volunteers to answer questions and help customers fill out bid forms; as well as help close-out the silent auction. Sitting, standing, calculating, indoors, air conditioned.

Maintain cleanliness of fairgrounds by picking up litter, emptying trash bins and wiping down tables in dining areas and other general maintenance tasks. We will supply gloves, pickup tools and cleaning supplies.

There will be two designated limited parking areas for art vendors and staff. People who are allowed to park in those areas will have parking passes. Volunteers are needed to be at those entrances - 2/entrance - checking passes & allowing people in & out. Sun, shade, bring a chair.

Help set everything up. Involves tasks such setting up chairs and moving picnic tables. Getting items out of storage and setting them up on the fairgrounds. Setting up Creation Station and plein air areas. Hanging banners and setting out signs. Some lifting of heavy items. * This makes a great group project for service groups, scout troops, church groups, fraternities/sororities, etc. Let us know if you have a group that would like to take on this project

Be available to fill in other positions if needed

Help our artists by giving them a break in their day to refill water bottles or get a bite to eat. No selling of their art; just hang out in their booth & tell patrons the artist will be back shortly. Walking, sitting, sun & shade.

We will be taking down the parts of Summerfest that are not brought by the artists. This includes tearing down the plein air and Creation Station areas and taking the parts back to storage. We will be taking down chairs around the stages and taking them to storage. There are signs to be taken down, equipment and supplies to be boxed up and various other items that need to be packed up and put in storage. Finally, at the end of the night we roll all of the trash bins to the asphalt so they can be emptied by the city. There will be some heavy lifting and we will be working in the dark part of the time * This makes a great group project for service groups, scout troops, church groups, fraternities/sororities, etc. Let us know if you have a group that would like to take on this project

Finish setting up whatever didn't get set up on Wednesday. May include setting up chairs, moving picnic tables, hanging signs and banners or anything else needed to be ready to open Summerfest
