It's Spring Break! Do your kiddos need something to do? Enroll them in an art class at Kentuck. This class will feature 3, one-hour sessions that will focus on a different unique fine art activity. Participants will be creating their own work while learning information about an artist that is known for working in that style. Tuesday will feature Andy Warhol and screen printing. Wednesday will feature Hokusai and block printing. Thursday will feature Jasper Johns and encaustics. These three art forms are a little more specific, and therefore kids often miss the opportunity to learn about and explore all they have to offer. Registration includes all 3 classes. Session A: March 14, 15, & 16, 2023 Time: 10-11 AM each day Ages: 2-8 Session B: March 14, 15, & 16, 2023 Time: 1-2 PM each day Ages: 8-12 This class will be located in the newly available Studio 2 which is located behind Rusty the big red dog on our campus. Look for the blue double doors in the Courtyard of Wonders! There is a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 12 per session. If the minimum is not met, participants will be refunded.  About Molly Nelko: A native of Mobile, AL, Molly Nelko has joined Kentuck’s staff as our Programming Assistant! She attended Springhill College and received a BA in fine art with a focus on oil painting and printmaking. Her work has been in individual exhibitions from Portland, OR to Hilton Head SC, and can be found online. Molly currently lives in Tuscaloosa with her husband, three children, and cat Quill. She has experimented with many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are encaustic, tessellations, and ink wash. Molly currently works in her studio regularly, but her focus has become more about enjoying creative projects with her children.
