Registration is now open for the 13th Annual Smoke Under the Oaks Rib Fest on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Barron Park, Downtown LaBelle.
Entry fee is $200.00 for a 4-person team.
(Please note that teams associated with sponsorship must register here.)
Rib teams must consist of no more than four people. Rib Team Site locations are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum of 30 teams. TRUCKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN BARRON PARK. The City of LaBelle has asked us to no longer allow trucks in the park due to potential damage to the grounds. Teams are required to PRE-PAY for Rib Team Registration. No call/no shows have proven to cause issues with the number of ribs purchased for this event. Therefore, we can no longer accept cash at the mandatory meeting for your registration. Payment will be taken through Eventeny, which uses Stripe. Please note, you may put your Rib Team Name under Business Name on the application. What do you get with your Rib Team Registration? LDRC will supply a box of sanitary gloves, judging platters, food trays, a People’s Choice ticket jar, a roll of paper towels, a bottle of hand sanitizer, and 32 racks of ribs. Please review and read all rules and regulations pertaining to this event. What happens at Smoke Under the Oaks? FRIDAY A Member of each Rib Team MUST attend the MANDATORY Meeting on Friday, January 17th at 6:00pm in Barron Park. At the mandatory meeting, you will sign an agreement stating you have read the Smoke Under the Oaks Rules & Regulations. You will receive all supplies (except for the judging platters) and the 32 racks of ribs. You will be required to sign that you have received and counted the ribs with an LDRC Board Member or volunteer. A drawing will be held for Judging Times per team at the mandatory meeting. SATURDAY Teams may arrive as early as 4:00am to light grills. COOK TIME BEGINS AT 5:00AM. An LDRC Board Member or volunteer must check that your ribs have not been pre-cooked before your team can begin cooking. You may marinate your ribs. We will have an opening ceremony at 10:30am hosted by Operation Vet Help. The event begins at 11am. Tickets will be sold to attendees. Tickets will be brought to your location. ONE TICKET EQUALS ONE RIB. Teams are not to accept cash or give away extra ribs. Keep your tickets for counting purposes. If your rib is the favorite, a DIFFERENT COLORED ticket will be placed in your People’s Choice Jar at your location. Please make sure the jar is visible to the public. People’s Choice closes at 3:00pm. The awards announcement will be at 3:30pm. The event ends at 4pm.

Welcome to the Smoke Under the Oaks Rib Fest Vendor Application. The Annual Smoke Under the Oaks Rib Fest takes place on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11am - 4pm at Barron Park in beautiful Downtown LaBelle. We will have an Opening Ceremony at 10:30am. Vendors receive a 10x10 booth space in Barron Park. Booths will be set up in the park so that you will be in the grass. You will be centrally located at the event. You will receive a map of where your booth location the week prior to the Rib Fest. Since this is a food event, we are not accepting food trucks.Our rib teams start cooking as early as 4:00am. If you wish to arrive early, you are welcome to come as soon as the sun rises! Please set up NO LATER THAN 9:30 am. We recommend setting up your booth between 8am -9:30am. Please note that the later you arrive, the more crowded the event is. This can be challenging so please attempt to come early. Vendors are responsible for their tents, tables, and chairs. Vendors are responsible for bringing your extension cord and extension cord cover if power is required at the booth. Vendor parking will be announced as the event gets closer. The event is over at 4pm. Please do your best to stay open until the close of the event. The number and types of vendors will be controlled to assure appropriateness and limit duplications. Please do not leave your booths unattended. You are responsible for your belongings.
