About the event
The San Francisco Pride Parade is a vibrant and colorful display of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. The Parade features an array of floats, music, and choreography, as well as thousands of participants and spectators from all over the world. As one of the largest LGBTQ+ parades in the world, and a destination event, it is historic, inclusive, and welcomes everyone regardless of their background or sexual orientation.
The Parade is a powerful symbol of love, acceptance, unity, and is a great opportunity to express Pride and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Parking instructions
If you are planning to attend the San Francisco Pride Parade, we highly recommend taking public transportation as there will be NO PARKING in the Assembly Area. If you need to drop off items at entry points, plan on doing so early (8:00 AM) with a small crew who can carry it in to your assigned location and monitor it.
The Embarcadero BART/MUNI station is the closest stop to the start of the Parade route, all other BART/MUNI stations along Market Street up to Civic Center will provide ample viewing points.
Additionally, we encourage carpooling and ride-sharing services as a way to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions. If you do need to drive, please check the official SF Pride website for information on available parking lots and garages near the Parade route.
Health & safety
San Francisco Pride is committed to providing a safe and healthy Parade experience for all participants.
We highly recommend that all participants wear masks and practice social distancing during the Parade. We also encourage all attendees to be fully vaccinated prior to the event.
We ask that anyone who is feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 to please stay home and rwatch it via livestream on ABC7. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all participants.

VEHICLE INSURANCE: All contingents with vehicles must submit proof of insurance, a copy of which can be attained from the driver's vehicle insurance provider and submitted to SF Pride.
ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS: If you would like to be in the Parade, but cannot walk the whole route, contact Marsha H. Levine at marsha.levine@sfpride.org — some contingents are offering seats on cable cars or buses.
