Street parking and public parking lots available throughout downtown. The Artisan Market is located up a set of stairs. We have an alternative entrance for anyone with mobility issues. Please contact us directly for an alternative entrance. Directions

Welcome to the event! Browse through our applications and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by applying, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. 

 

Plein Air Liberty

 

· Date: October 5th, Saturday

· Time: 8am to 5pm

· Location: Historic Downtown Liberty

 

Participation Details:

· Who Can Participate: Artists of all skill levels

· Registration: Ongoing

· Preregistration Fee: $35 (includes a care package, lunch, and a workshop discount) early bird registration ends September 9th, 2024.

· Event Day Registration: $45

· Plein Air Liberty participants will be given more information about the purchase award locations at the event.

· Participants will be able to submit up to three pieces for consideration for best of show.

· All paintings that are considered for cash or purchase prizes must be wired and ready to hang by 4:45pm.

· Artists paint within the Historic Downtown boundaries. (Map will be Provided)

 

Schedule:

· 8am: Artists gather at The Artisan Market to have their canvases date-stamped

· 8am to 4pm: Artists paint within the Historic Downtown boundaries. (Map Provided)

· 4pm: Artists convene to hang their works for judging

· 5pm: Judging, Awards, Refreshments and Artist Meet and Greet.

 

Featured Locations:

· Downtown Square, Farmers Market, Pumpkin Festival

· William Jewell College

· The Madison Miller Home

· Historic Churches within the boudaries

· Corbin Mill

· Jesse James Bank and Museum

· Many other historical sites, parks, and hundreds of beautiful historic homes.

 

Awards:

· Cash prizes: Best of Show $500 1st: $250 2nd: $150 3rd: $100

· (3) $300 Purchase prizes selected by sponsors

Additional Opportunities:

· After-event sales for artists to sell their works.
