About the event
Old School Square is in the heart of Downtown Delray Beach, located at the corner of Atlantic and Swinton Avenues. The beloved campus was built in the early 1900's as Delray Elementary and Delray High School. Those restored early 20th-century school buildings have now been re-adapted as the Cornell Art Museum, Crest Theatre and Fieldhouse (Vintage Gym). The campus also includes the Pavilion in the center grounds, which is an outdoor entertainment stage with a grass seating area, as well as the Old School Square Park just to the east. A City of Delray Beach parking garage is located adjacent to the park. The Old School Square campus is one of the largest cultural venues within the city of Delray Beach where there are showcases of fine art exhibits, large concerts, and theater performances along with an historic venue to hold private events such as weddings and special celebrations.

The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority produces numerous art-centric events throughout Downtown Delray and at Old School Square, including Art & Jazz on the Avenue and Delray Walls Mural Fest.    If you would like to be a featured artist at one of these events, please read the important information below and fill out this application. Thank you for your interest! 
 
LIABILITY INSURANCE: Artist must provide a certificate of general liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 coverage. Certificate of Insurance must name the following as additionally insured:

GENERAL RULES and REGULATIONS:
  1. NO CBD/ Delta 8 products of any kind permitted at Downtown Development Authority events.
  2. Artists will receive a site map with designated booth location and load in directions one week prior to event. 
  3. Each artist must be ready for load in before designated move-in time.  
  4. Artists must provide staffing, TABLECLOTHS, SIGNAGE, PRODUCTS and DISPLAYS.  (Tent, table, chairs & light are included in booth fee)
  5. Artists are responsible for the collection, payment, and reporting of their own sales tax.
  6. You, your staff and area must remain neat, clean and kept in an orderly fashion.  All displays must be contained within booth space.  Conduct and displays must be appropriate.
  7. Someone from your staff must manage the booth before, during and through breakdown.
  8. Merchant/Business booth must be set up and ready before event begins.
 
SECURITY:  DDA employs event security; however, artists are responsible for all valuables and items in your booth. DDA is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items.  
 
NO SHOW POLICY:  Artists who have not notified event via phone (561-243-1077) or email ( DDA@downtowndelraybeach.com) by 7:00 am day of event will be considered a NO SHOW.  Assigned space and fees will be forfeited subject to DDA review.

  4. Food vendors must carry a fire extinguisher as per Delray Beach Fire Department regulations.
  5. No generators permitted.
  6. Vendors will not have access to water.
  7. Each vendor must be ready for load in before the 4pm designated move-in time.  
  8. Vendors must provide TABLECLOTHS, SIGNAGE, PRODUCTS and DISPLAYS.  (Tent, table, chairs & light are included in booth fee)
  9. No plastic straws permitted by ordinance.
  10. Vendors are responsible for the collection, payment, and reporting of their own sales tax.
  11. You, your staff and area must remain neat, clean and kept in an orderly fashion.  Food displays must be contained within booth space.  Conduct and displays must be appropriate, pick up trash and leave area clean and debris free.
  12. Someone from your staff must manage the booth before, during and through breakdown.
  13. Vendor booth must be set up and ready by 5:30 pm before event begins at 6pm sharp. 
  14. Vendor will be responsible for complying with all Fire Department and Palm Beach County Business and Health Department requirements. 
  15. Vendor should carry all licenses or permits applicable to their products and such licenses must be displayed prominently.
 
SECURITY:  DDA employs event security; however, Food Vendors are responsible for all valuables and items in your booth. DDA is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items.

Volunteer Duties Will Include: OSS/DDA Events: Assisting with Special Events in the Downtown Delray Beach area and Old School Square. Manning the information booth, answering guests' questions about upcoming events or flyers. Cornell Art Museum: Assist in the gift shop with checking out customers, answer any questions. DDA Visitors Center: Assist visitors with directions, inform of upcoming events downtown, give directions, etc.

PARKING:  Parking is available on side streets (Read the signs!) and at the Old School Square Parking Garage with the Delray Beach Park Mobile system.
