Have you ever sat in quiet contemplation, mulling over the happenings of life? Do you understand that life happens for you, not to you? This event is more than just a yoga festival.           It is a dream…           It is a passion project… This festival was just an idea. Just an invisible, intangible thought. A seed that has sprouted from the invisible to the visible. Have you ever experienced inspired thought? That moment when a thought drops in out of the abyss and has such gravity, such force, that there’s nothing to do but allow your imagination to run wild? It’s as though the mind is conducting a thought experiment. This festival is inspired thought, realized. This event is what some might call, “something out of nothing”. This dream dropped into the mind of its creator, and she believed she could, so she did. The creator behind the curtain is a woman named Colleen. A Northwood local. A mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and dreamer… A woman in her 40’s that has witnessed her parents each experience their own individual cancer journey over the past 4 years.           She has witnessed what grit looks like.           She has witnessed determination.          She has witnessed the partnership between her parents stand firm through their unwavering support of each other as they faced their mortality. Forty-five years of marriage. Five children. Five grandchildren. Two cancer diagnosis… And two victories. Their victory comes with a price. Cancer, even when insured, is an expensive endeavor. Colleen’s parents have found themselves with the gift of life, and medical bills. BOOM! It hit… An idea! Inspired thought! Something out of nothing! This festival is a daughter’s attempt at creating a source of buoyancy for the financial weight that her parents are carrying. This festival will allow Colleen to pay it forward and unburden her parents from medical bills. Or, if their car breaks down, their water heater fails, their roof leaks… they now will have somewhere to lean. This festival will not only benefit its creator, and the local community, it will offer these survivors a deep breath and the peace of mind that if they need something, help is just a phone call away. This festival- this idea- this seed that has been planted- It has bloomed support. It has bloomed into a community of the most amazing individuals that are angels in disguise. They come in the form of yoga instructors, musicians, reiki practitioners, acupuncturists, energy alchemists, massage therapists, hula hoopers, artists, and fellow dreamers.  Creating this festival has been one of the most magical and fantastical experiences to witness. The overwhelming support, encouragement, enthusiasm, and think-tank sessions have created New England Yoga Festival. The people that have come together for this event have an energy and vibe that you’ll have the pleasure to bask in. Your attendance at this festival is more than just a ticket to an awesome long weekend. It is an opportunity for you to be part of the glow. From the creator, dreamer, daughter, and conduit… Thank you.

Parking instructions
Parking is limited, PLEASE CARPOOL if possible. Parking will be clearly marked at the entrance. When the lot at the campground is full, the residents of Meadow Lane have graciously allowed parking in their meadow. You will see the "bus station" tent and signage for festival parking. Be respectful of this neighborhood, and drive slowly. Also, leave the meadow as clean or better than you found it. This neighborhood borders the camp grounds and is right around the corner. There is a shuttle that will bring you from the parking area to the festival grounds. Driver Ginger will be making rounds all day, approximately every 20 minutes. Give her praise! This is a labor of love.
