Dunn, once known as the town of Lucknow, first settled beside the railroad and lots were auctioned off from the railroad platform. When the auctioneer finished, he pointed to the stakes around him and declared to the crowd, “And this lot shall be reserved for the sale of COTTON, for in the sale of cotton our future success depends."

Directions
Parking instructions
There will be signs directing attendees to designated parking areas. Overflow parking will be at Tyler Park with a shuttle service picking up attendees and dropping them off throughout the festival.
Health & safety
There will be limited parking available, please be aware that you may be walking or standing for extended periods of time. No animals are allowed at the festival. No weapons are allowed at the festival.

With an estimated 15,000 attendees, our 2024 NC Cotton Festival saw the expansion of the festival to 9 blocks. This year we look to make the festival even BETTER for the 25th Anniversary!
