The City of Tuscaloosa is excited for the 11th annual Live at the Plaza summer concert series at Government Plaza. Any live performer wishing to showcase their talents at this event should apply using this form.   Applications are due by 11:59pm on January 10, 2025.   Live at the Plaza is scheduled every Friday evening in May and June from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the following dates: May 2, May 9, May 16, May 23, May 30, June 6, June 13, June 20, and June 27. Please select any and all dates that you would be available for and interested in. Times for performances will depend on the number of performances approved. You will receive more information about performance times in your approval email. 
  All applications must include a link to a website or online video that demonstrates at least three live songs being performed. If no online channel is available, applicants may submit a jump drive or CD that includes a live recording of at least three songs. This can be mailed to or dropped off at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater Box Office at 2710 Jack Warner Parkway, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401, Monday-Friday from 10:00am-5:00pm.    A selection committee will review all completed applications after the deadline. The 11th annual Live at the Plaza summer concert series is back for 2025! Every Friday in May and June the City will feature a local band in the family-friendly atmosphere of Government Plaza. The shows are held from 6 to 9 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public. A limited number of spaces will be available for mobile food vendors on Gary Fitts Street (6th St).  All food vendors will be required to have an active  mobile food vending license or a City of Tuscaloosa franchise license.  Cost: There is a $25 Non-Refundable fee for each Live at the Plaza event attended. If you pay by credit card, there is an additional credit card processing fee. Credit card invoices will be sent the Monday before the event. Cash and checks (payable to the City of Tuscaloosa) will be accepted at the Special Events office located in the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.
