Site specific, immersive theater returns to Westminster with The Land of Milk and Honey—a month-long production by celebrated theater company The Catamounts that brings to life the rich history of Shoenberg Farms. Small, socially-distanced groups will travel through one of Westminster's most historic properties, where the state's agricultural, philanthropic, immigrant, and healthcare heritage once dynamically converged. The Land of Milk and Honey explores themes of philanthropy, migration, the sanatorium movement, historical responses to health crises in America, the Jewish immigrant experience, and more through a series of indoor dramatic settings. Part ghost story, part time travel, and wholly a celebration of how humans can turn personal tragedy into an act of community compassion!
