Categories:Artists may apply in up to 3 categories. You must submit a separate application for each category.If you sell jewelry, you may apply in a category other than Jewelry if jewelry is less than 10% of your items for sale. Otherwise, you must apply in Jewelry. All work displayed in the booth must be for sale.
Clay: Original clay and porcelain work, functional or sculptural.
Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable. No machine-tooled, machine-screen printing, or other forms of mass production are accepted.
Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted.
Jewelry: Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. Items made from commercial parts may not be exhibited.
Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal. No jewelry will be accepted in this category.
Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.
Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only artist’s original source material is acceptable. Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.
Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints are not allowed.Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.

Welcome! We invite you to apply to the annual Kutztown Festival Quilt Sale and Competition. An application is enclosed. It is our goal to sell and display all quilts that are submitted and comply with the attached 2025 General Information. Please read the information below as you begin preparation for the 2025 festival. We welcome your participation and encourage your success!
- Pre-registration: All quilters must pre-register quilts using the Quilt Sale Application Form. Please return by 4/01/25.
- Review the chart for size and pricing guidelines. All quilters must register at least one bed sized quilt in order to submit any wall hangings, crib/baby and throws.
- The Kutztown Festival reserves the right to not accept quilts into the sale/competition for any reason of quality or salability. All decisions by the judges, our Quilt Education and Development Director or Festival management are final.
- The Kutztown Festival assumes full responsibility for theft, loss or damage while quilts are in the possession of the festival.
- Please plan to pick up any unsold items by referring to the schedule that will be developed by our Quilt Education and Development Director based on information you provide on your application. No Sunday pickups. Shipping costs for quilts that are returned to quilters by FedEx or USPS will be at the quilter’s expense.
QUILT COMPETITION & AUCTION: All Queen and King quilts are considered for judging in the quilt competition. Quilts are judged based on use of fabric, color, quality of workmanship, salability, as well as interpretation of traditional and original designs. The top 40 +/- quilts are scored on a judging rubric. Cross stitch quilts will not be judged.
- Twenty-four top scoring quilts will be selected according to scores on the judging rubric. One Grand Prize winner will receive $500; 1st Place will receive $350; 2nd Place will receive $200, and 3rd Place will receive $150. Twenty Top Honors Quilts will receive a $100 prize.
- All Best of Show and Top Honors Quilts will be entered into our Quilt Auction. The Quilt Auction will be held on the second Saturday of the Festival. Each auctioned quilt will receive 50% of the auction price above the quilter’s price, handling fees and taxes.
