Prize For Best Table

Drop off your entry in the barn at the check-in table between 10:30 and 11:30. Runners will deliver your pie or cake to the judges to ensure confidentiality of bakers. No store bought piecrusts, frostings, or cake mixes allowed. All entries must be homemade. To avoid confusion, no side sauces or special toppings will be given to the judges. No heating or refrigeration will be available. 

You may enter dessert. You must make 2 exact desserts, one for our judges and one to serve to the people. No drop offs, you must stay and serve your entry to the public for tasting. Food gloves and tasting cups will be provided for you. Bring your own knife and serve ware. You will be sharing an 8-foot table with another baker. Feel free to decorate your side!

The public is paying $5.00 to taste all the entries. Paid tasters will be given a tasting fork and a wristband. They will be given tokens to choose their favorite entries. Additional tokens will be available for purchase. A numbered jar will be provided for you at your table.  Around 2:00 runners will collect the jars and count the tickets in each, for the People’s Choice Award.

Judging will start at 12:00 pm.  Each entry will be judged on appearance, filling, flavor, and texture.  Winners will be announced when judging is complete between 2:00 and 2:30pm. You will get your dessert back.

You may enter 1 type of chocolate cookie or brownie. You must make enough to take to the judges as well as serve to the public, Figure at least one dozen or more.
