About the event
Glenwood Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Thomaston, Georgia. Located on 8.25 acres in the heart of the city, it grew from land that surrounded the site of the first Methodist Church in our area. The property was acquired over many years from 1835 and 1860. In 1901, the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church transferred the then two-acre cemetery to the City of Thomaston.
