About the event
MCMA presents our first printmaking exhibition exclusively judged and curated by MCMA. Focusing solely on printmakers residing in Georgia, this exhibition will present the top selection of work juried by our anonymous panel of local arts professionals. Submissions are open through November 1. IMPORTANT DATES: November 1: Submission Deadline—11:59PM November 15: Accepted and Denied notifications emailed December 18: Art Delivery 9:00AM—3:00PM January 11: Opening Reception 6:00—8:00PM March 16: Exhibition closes—4:00PM March 18: Art Pick Up 9:00AM—3:00PM For the purpose of this juried exhibition, "printmaking" is defined as involving or creating images, through handmade techniques, by transferring ink, or another medium, from a matrix onto a surface. Consideration is at the discretion of the judges; please inquire with questions. Please no fine art photography submissions. This exhibition is solely open to fine-art printmakers residing within Georgia. Non-GA residents will not be considered. Open only to Georgia-residing printmakers. Out-of-state submissions will not be considered. Original, fine-art printmaking only. Giclee, reproductions, digital art, or photograph will not be considered. Any accepted prints that arrive altered or different in any way from the image/information submitted may be disqualified at time of delivery. Submissions must be one of a limited edition and any accepted pieces may not be exhibited elsewhere in metropolitan Atlanta during the run of the exhibition. All images must be submitted in JPG or PNG format. Open to 2-D works that hang on the wall only; special exceptions for installations or 3-D work must be made by curator prior to submission to be considered. All submitted pieces must be original artwork that was completed within the last ten years, and has never been previously exhibited at MCMA in any capacity. Accepted artwork must be appropriately framed and ready to hang upon delivery. All works must have securely fastened hanging wire using D rings. No saw tooth hangers are permitted. Submitted artwork, including framing, may not have a height or width exceeding 80 inches. MCMA retains 40% commission of any works sold during this exhibition. MCMA will be given consent to use submitted images for any future promotional purposes. All submissions will receive email confirmation from Eventeny. If you do not receive a confirmation within 3 business days, please contact Madeline Beck. Submissions are considered incomplete until all fees, forms and images are received by MCMA on or before the deadline.
