PLEASE READ 100% OF THE INFORMATION BELOW DJ AUDITIONS WHEN: Thursday, April 11, 2024 I Check-in 5:00pm, Auditions 6:00 pm WHERE: Trade | 475 Santa Fe Dr, Denver, CO 80204 Here is some additional information about your audition: Audition Timing: • DJ check-in: (5:00pm to 6:00 pm) • DJ Auditions begin at (6:00pm). We may start early if we can • Completed online application does not guarantee an audition slot. Slots are assigned on a first- come, first-served basis on the day of auditions only. We will manage time slots and communicate with performers on-site. Please stay at the venue to wait your turn. • NO LATE CHECK-INS ACCEPTED! If you have not checked in by 6:00, your slot will go to someone else. DJ Audition Rules: • Starts promptly at 6:00pm. Plan on being at the club until potentially 9:00pm. All music formats are welcome (Country, Latin, House, Top 40 Remixes, etc.) • DJs will get 10 minutes to mix 3 songs. All auditions will be judged from this one round of auditions. Winners will be notified via email by Wednesday, May 1. • Please bring your music on a USB or small external hard drive, in either a wav or mp3 format. No exceptions! Equipment on-site is the Pioneer CDJ 2000s and Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus Mixer. • No software or computers allowed. No controllers allowed. No exceptions! DJ Judging Guidelines & Audition Tips: • The judges will evaluate DJs on the 3 following criteria: Music Selection, Mixing Flow, and Stage Presence. • You MUST mix out of the DJ before you and start your set without stopping down on the music from the DJ before you, as this is how it will be played at Denver PrideFest. The audience can help cheer you on, so bring your friends and family with you! Are you entertaining? Do you have high energy? Do you have stage presence and an ability to connect with the audience? DOORS OPEN AT 5:00pm. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. Stay and party after your audition and cheer on the other DJs and Go-Go Dancers who are auditioning! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and we welcome your thoughts and feedback, nevertheless please be respectful and courteous with others.
