Chamblee 101 is an education program presented by the City of Chamblee that teaches residents, business owners, and community partners how local government operates. The 10-week course will teach you how the city works, who is responsible for what, and what steps you can take to make a difference.
Topics of discussion include city history, planning and development, parks and recreation, economic development, public safety, and more. Classes are held every Wednesday (except for two nights that will be attendance at council meetings) and consist of 10 two-hour classes. Sessions are conducted in various city buildings including the Public Safety building, Public Works building, current City Hall, and the new City Hall.
The program is free and open to the first 30 applicants.
