About the event
The St. Louis Arts Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its 2021 professional development workshop, ArtsWork. Designed to help develop the business skills of artists in all disciplines, ArtsWork will feature presentations from seasoned artist career consultants and opportunities to network with peers, establish mentorship relationships, and learn more about tangible ways the arts can address and discuss societal and cultural topics in our communities.

Speaker Highlight: Naomi RaMona Schliesman
Naomi RaMona Schliesman (she/her) Artist Career Consultant based in Fergus Falls, MN. Naomi is a multidisciplinary artist with an MFA in Studio Arts. Schliesman has received multiple Fellowships, grants and has attended residency programs nationally and internationally. She has traveled abroad to study art and art movements. Her practice consists of studio art, collaborations with artists, organizations and communities in creative placemaking nationwide as a freelance artist, and is an active Arts Advocate in her rural community. She serves on multiple boards and committees. Quote: 'I can help artists with visual arts (career development, studio arts and teaching), public art, creative placemaking, grant writing, arts advocacy, arts administration, rural arts and residencies.' Speaker Highlight: Jes Reyes
Jes Reyes (she/her/they/them) Artist Career Consultant based in St. Paul, MN. Jes Reyes is an artist, arts administrator, community organizer, and social service provider. She holds a B.A. in Women’s Studies and Film/Electronic Arts from California State Long Beach and a Master of Liberal Studies from the University of Minnesota. Jes has exhibited and screened her artwork throughout the Twin Cities and is the founder of the Altered Esthetics Film Festival and Moonplay Cinema. Currently, she is the leader of a team of service providers at Avivo ArtWorks, an art program supporting artists living with mental illness. Quote: 'I can help artists with goals related to career planning, time management, marketing, grant writing, portfolio development, artwork presentation, program/project development/management, and community organizing. I specialize in working with artists with disabilities.' Background and skills include: Film (production, presentation), Visual Art (painting, mixed media), Administration (programming).

Mike LaBozzetta (he/him) Attorney for Entrepreneurs, Small Businesses, and Small Non-Profits Founding Attorney of Faro Law STL, based in St. Louis, MO Mike LaBozzetta (he/him) Attorney for Entrepreneurs, Small Businesses, and Small Non-Profits Mike LaBozzetta is the founding member of Faro Law, LLC, a transactional business law practice dedicated to serving entrepreneurs, business owners, and nonprofits. His practice focuses on transactional issues such as entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation as well as general counsel issues; helping clients address their various legal needs. Prior to starting Faro Law, Mike worked in transfer pricing at a Big 4 accounting firm working with Fortune 500 companies. He holds a JD from the Saint Louis University School of Law, MBA from the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University, and BSBA in International Business from Saint Louis University. Mike also currently serves on the Board of the St. Louis Arts Chamber of Commerce.
