Art on the Side Liberty Art Festival – A Celebration of Creativity! Join us in historic downtown Liberty, Missouri, for the annual Art on the Side Liberty Art Festival, a vibrant showcase of art, craftsmanship, and entertainment! This year’s festival will feature over 80 talented artists and artisan makers displaying their stunning creations. From fine art to handcrafted goods, there will be something for everyone to admire, purchase, and enjoy. The event will take place in the parking lots and on Main Street, right next to The Artisan Market at 118 N Main Street, Liberty, MO, transforming the area into a lively hub of artistic expression. The festival runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, packed with activities for all ages! Here's what you can look forward to: Fine Artists & Artisan Marketplace: Explore an array of artwork and handcrafted items created by local and regional artists and makers. Paintings, glass, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, and more await you. Food Trucks: Treat yourself to delicious eats from a variety of food vendors offering local favorites. Children's Activities: Bring the kids for chalk art, face painting, and other fun activities designed to spark their creativity. Performances: Experience the magic of live theater and dance as performers take the stage, delighting the audience with their artistry. Welcome to Art on the Side located in beautiful Historic Downtown Liberty.  We will have 50 available spaces for artists.  We hope to grow each and every year. Event Date: Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 8am to 5pm. Set-up begins at 6:00am. Art on the Side will happen "rain or shine". Browse through our application and let us know if you have any questions.   This is an electronic agreement and by completing the application, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.  All work displayed in the booth must be for sale.
  • Clay: Original work, functional or sculptural.
  • Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable, original designs only.  
  • Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted.
  • Jewelry: Original designs, no resale items, no assembly only work.
  • Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal.
  • Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.
  • Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
  • Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
  • Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only artist’s original source material and prints made from the original source are acceptable.
  • Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.
  • Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.
  • Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints from original art is permitted.
  • Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.
Deadline: May 23, 2025
This area is for crafters and artists that are not are not eligable for  our Fine Arts or  Artisan Makers categories because you either are a performing artisan (face painter, caricaturist, etc) or your product is a commercial product (tumblers, coffe cups, t-shirts, assembled jewelry etc.)We will have 9 available spaces for our marketplace area: Marketplace arts are not included in the juried show and are not eligable for prize money.

Emerging Artists: This is a highly competitive category. -The emerging art category is intended for NEW artists that have never done a festival or juried show before. These positions will be announced after the April 4th jury. We have 6 available sponosored spaces that include a tent. Emerging artists are still responsible to bring their own tables/chairs and display equipment.

We will have 6 available spaces for commercial businesses: A commercial Business must be "art related" OR presenting or sponsoring an art related activity.

This is an application for vendor space for "Art on the Side" June 7th, 2025. We are looking for cold everything: icecream, cold drinks, and other cool and frozen treats we also would like lunch and breakfast items.  Commercial food vendors must submit proof of liability insurance. Upon approval you will be contacted twice, once with your approval and then 1 week prior to the event you will be sent booth/truck location information. If an application is declined you will be notified withtin two weeks of your application submittal. The "Art on the Side" committee reserves the right to assign spaces and alter map layouts as deemed necessary.
