The "artist application" is intended for Fine Artists and Artisan Craftsmen.
- Work that has been produced with commercially-acquired kits, commercial patterns, plans, prefabricated forms or other commercial methods is not permitted.
- .All work - in every category - must be the original work produced by the exhibiting artist.
Welcome to Art on the Side located in beautiful Historic Downtown Liberty. We will have 50 available spaces for artists. We hope to grow each and every year. Event Date: Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 8am to 5pm. Set-up begins at 6:00am. Art on the Side will happen "rain or shine". Browse through our application and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by completing the application, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. All work displayed in the booth must be for sale.
- Clay: Original work, functional or sculptural.
- Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable, original designs only.
- Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted.
- Jewelry: Original designs, no resale items, no assembly only work.
- Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal.
- Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.
- Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
- Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
- Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only artist’s original source material and prints made from the original source are acceptable.
- Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.
- Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.
- Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints from original art is permitted.
- Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.

Emerging Artists: This is a highly competitive category. -The emerging art category is intended for NEW artists that have never done a festival or juried show before. it is intended to encourage artists who do not have access to a tent and have never sold at an outdoor event to try it out without incurring the expense These positions will be announced after the April 4th jury. We have 6 available sponosored spaces that include a tent. Emerging artists are still responsible to bring their own tables/chairs and display equipment.
