About the event

"Metro Montage XXV" is the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s 25th annual juried exhibition featuring all types of genre, medium, style, subject matter, concept, and technique in art. "Metro Montage" will feature works of fine art by contemporary artists from across the country, showcasing the diversity and skill within our nation’s culture. IMPORTANT DATES 2025: April 14 = Submission Deadline—11:59PM May 16 = Accepted and denied notification emailed June 11 = Art Delivery between 9:00AM and 3:00PM June 28 = Opening Reception, 6:00 — 8:00PM August 31 = Exhibition closes at 4:00PM September 2 = Art Pick Up between 9:00AM and 3:00PM AWARDS: First Place: $750 · Second Place: $500 · Third Place: $250 JURY: MCMA Curator, Madeline Beck, will once again lead an anonymous committee of arts professionals to judge this year’s "Metro Montage."

About the application

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

All submissions will receive email confirmation from Eventeny. If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 business days, please contact madeline@mariettacobbartmuseum.org.

All images must be submitted in JPG or PNG format.

Eligible media includes, but is not limited to, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ink, pencil, mixed media, collage, printmaking, photography, sculpture, pottery, mosaic, and fiber. Giclées and video/sound art are not eligible.

Installations must be approved prior to submission deadline, as they are subject to denial based on size and manner of installing. Substitute submissions may be necessary.

Only one digital image may be submitted for each 2-D work. 3-D artists may submit an additional image for each piece submitted.

Submissions are considered incomplete until all fees, forms and images are received by MCMA on or before the deadline.

CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

All submitted pieces must be original artwork that was completed within the last ten years, and has not been previously shown at MCMA in any capacity.

Submitted artwork may not have a height, width, or depth exceeding 80 inches.

Accepted artwork must be appropriately framed and ready to hang upon delivery. All works must have securely fastened hanging wire using D rings. No saw tooth hangers are permitted.

If unframed, paintings on canvas must be gallery-wrapped and have painted sides.

Images submitted are to be un-enhanced, un-manipulated, and in high resolution; any accepted art that is altered or different in any way from the image submission may be disqualified at time of delivery.

Photography submissions must be one of a limited edition and not showing elsewhere during Metro Montage. No photography printed on canvas.

MCMA retains 40% commission of any works sold during this exhibition.

MCMA will be given consent to use submitted images for any future promotional purposes.

Submission Fee	$50.00
MCMA Member Submission Fee	$45.00	Membership status will be checked. MCMA reserves the right to invoice you for the remaining cost of submission if you do not have an active membership to MCMA at the time of submission.
