About the event

BEANS AND CORNBREAD Thousands will flock to the festival to enjoy the 2,000 lbs. of pinto beans stewing in giant cast iron cauldrons. The fest also features the Bean Fest Artisans Market on the Square that's filled with handmade crafts from around the state. GREAT ARKANSAS CHAMPIONSHIP OUTHOUSE RACES The ridiculous race showcases cleverly themed privies steered by drivers sitting on toilet seats. The "people powered potty" teams are racing for high stakes - the gold toilet seat award (and cash prize). MUSIC Music will be on the Courthouse Stage all weekend long. Don't forget to stop in the Pickin' Park to see both locals and pickers from out of town having mini jam sessions under the gazebos.

About the application

We are looking for some judges for this year's Bean Cookoff. Starting at 11am, our judges will taste all of the beans that have been cooked for the competition. We have 32 pots of beans, so that means 32 bites of beans in your belly. Are you ready to help with choosing the BEST beans at Bean Fest 2025?

Terms & Conditions

All approved judges must be at the judge's tent behind the courthouse at 10:45 am on October 25th. You will be briefed on the rules of the competition, the scoring forms and then delivered beans to be tasted.
