About the application

We’re excited to receive your float application for Rowlett’s second-largest event, and we’d love for you to be a part of it! To ensure the best possible arrangement for our 2024 Parade of Lights, please provide the exact dimensions of your float and vehicle, along with the number of "walkers" accompanying your float. Please note, only the city’s contracted Santa Claus will be featured, so we ask that no additional Santa-themed floats be included to maintain the magic for the kids. Thank you for helping make this event a success!

Terms & Conditions

By applying to be afloat you are acknowledging, and accepting the following:

My floats will be fully decorated.
There will be walkers walking alongside my float passing out candy to kids.
There will be no throwing candy from the float to the street. This could be a danger to the kids trying to collect it.
My float will be festive and respectful to all.
The city has the right to approve and deny all floats applying to be on the parade.
My float will not have a Santa Claus on board.
