T’Nincy Miss: 12-23 mo. Toddler Miss: 2-3 yrs. Tiny Miss: 4-6 yrs. Little Miss: 7-9 yrs. Evening Session – 4:00 PM Jr. Miss: 10-12 yrs. Pre-Teen Miss: 13-14 yrs. Teen Miss: 15-16 yrs. Miss: 17-23 yrs. Ms.: 24 yrs. and up The contestant’s age and group they will be competing in will be determined by the contestant’s date of birth and age on pageant day (October 19, 2024). Teen Miss and Miss contestants must be single (not married) and not live with their significant other. Ms. contestants must be 24 years or older and may be single or married and may have children. Contestants must be of good moral character and not have been convicted of a crime. Other qualifications apply and are provided in the Contract. All Royalty are expected to attend the evening pageant. You are asked to remain at the auditorium after the Miss Queen is crowned for group photos. ◊ Celebrating Louisiana’s Neutral Strip – the territory known as “No Man’s Land” ◊ Photos: Photogenic pictures are to be no smaller than a 5x7 and no larger than an 8x10. No glitz photos or picture frames, please. Please have contestant’s name and age on the back of photo and turn in ONE PHOTO ONLY. Photo can be color or b/w. Photos MUST be turned in on or before Friday, October 18, 2024. Dress Attire: Baby Miss – Pre-Teen Miss (0-14 years): Western Wear Teen Miss, Ms., & Miss (15+ years): Interview, Western Wear (with onstage intro) and Evening Gown This is a natural pageant – no glitz, please. All attire should be age appropriate. Teen Miss, Ms. and Miss Interviews: There will be an interview for Teen Miss, Ms., and Miss contestants on pageant day. Details will be provided at the mandatory luncheon (for those age groups only) to be held Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Florien Depot. Contracts will also be signed at this time. Practice Times: Practice will be held Sunday, October 13 from 1:45 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. Each age group will be allotted 15 minutes. Baby Miss: 0-11 mo. 1:45-2:00 T’Nincy Miss: 12-23 mo. 2:00-2:15 Toddler Miss: 2-3 yrs. 2:15-2:30 Tiny Miss: 4-6 yrs. 2:30-2:45 Little Miss: 7-9 yrs. 2:45-3:00 Jr. Miss: 10-12 yrs. 3:00-3:15 Pre-Teen Miss: 13-14 yrs. 3:15-3:30 Teen Miss: 15-16 yrs. 3:30-3:45 Ms.: 24 yrs. and up 3:45-4:00 Miss: 17-23 yrs. 4:00-4:15 Awards: All Royalty will receive a monogrammed Sabine Freestate banner. The Miss Queen will have the use of a contoured full crown, crown box, custom formal banner, scepter, and custom cape and collar during her reign. Teen Miss and Ms. will each have use of a contoured full crown during her reign. All other Queens will receive a tiara. Sizes vary according to age group and have combs. Sashes and award certificates will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Alternates. Photogenic winners will receive a photo frame and certificate. Best Fashion and Interview winners will receive an award certificate. Rules and General Information: Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. We ask that only one person per contestant be backstage or in the dressing rooms. Judges’ decisions are final. Individual score sheets will be provided on pageant day. It is MANDATORY that all 2024 Royalty attend the Sabine Freestate Festival and Parade. Teen Miss, Ms., and Miss will be required to attend the Sabine Freestate Festival Poster Unveiling October 28 at 7:00 p.m. All other Royalty is cordially invited but not required to attend the Poster Unveiling. The Festival will be held the first full weekend of November beginning Friday, November 1 and ending Sunday, November 3. The parade will be on Saturday, November 3. Our Miss Queen will be responsible for the Sabine Freestate Royalty Float. However, all Sabine Freestate Royalty is responsible to help work on the float and for individual signs for the parade. Royalty introductions will take place on the festival grounds after the parade. All Queens must wear crown and banner. If you are not present, you will be required to forfeit your title to 1st Alternate. Forms will not be accepted via Facebook Messenger, nor will they be accepted on the day of the pageant.
