This thrilling chicken wing cook-off invites culinary teams from both community and professional categories to compete head-to-head, cooking up the best wings using chicken provided by our sponsor, Wayne-Sanderson Farms.

The event captures the excitement of a classic football tailgate, complete with a large screen showing live games -- it is GAME DAY, after all!

By signing below, I attest that I hereby agree to allow Laurel Main Street and Wayne-Sanderson Farms to use any and all pictures, statements, videos or any other publicity-related information or materials for the further promotion of these or similar events or promotions.

 

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

The undersigned (the “Permittee”) does hereby represent unto the City of Laurel, MS (the “City”), that he or she is eighteen (18) years of age or older, or if not, that his or her parent or guardian has also signed below and that Permittee is in proper physical and mental condition and has all the equipment necessary to participate in the Downtown Wing Wars Cook-Off. As consideration for the Permittee being permitted to participate in the cook-off in the capacity requested in the application to which this form is attached, Permittee and if the Permittee is a minor, then his or her parent of guardian hereby RELEASES Laurel Main Street, Wayne Farms LLC and Sanderson Farms, LLC (aka Wayne-Sanderson Farms), the cook-off chairman, the city of Laurel, and it’s officers, agents, employees, successors, and assigns, from any and all claims for liabilities, damages, expenses, reasonable attorney’s fees, and cost of court which the Permittee and if the Permittee is a minor, which his or her parent/guardian may have against them, or any of them, arising out of the undersigned’s participating in the cook-off. The Permittee and if the Permittee is a minor, then his or her parents/guardian hereby covenants not to file any action at law or in equity against the City and its officers, agents, employed, successors, and assigns from all liabilities, damages, expensed, reasonable attorney’s fees and cost of court which they or any of them may suffer or incur, jointly, or severally, as a result of any claim made against them, or any of them, by the Permittee and if the Permittee is a minor by his or her parent/guardian or any other persons, association or corporations whomsoever, arising out of the Permittee’s participation in the cook-off.  I attest that I, as team captain, will ensure that each of my team members accepts via their signature the above waiver.  

 

Physical waivers will be available on the event day and teams will not be allowed to compete unless each team member physicall signs the above waiver.
