This much anticipated Alpharetta Fall activity includes life-size scarecrows designed and installed by Alpharetta schools, day cares,businesses, non-profits, families and neighborhoods. City staff pre-assign the outdoor locations in parks and downtown Alpharetta for scarecrows to be displayed 9/26-10/30

About the application

The annual Scarecrow Harvest community activity is our much-anticipated fall event!  Alpharetta's downtown, parks and sidewalks burst with colorful and creative life-size scarecrows. Accredited Pre-K through 5th grade classrooms, daycares, learning centers, families, neighborhoods, faith-based organizations and 501C3 non-profit organizations design, create and install scarecrows displayed in our parks and downtown Alpharetta. Maps with a self-guided walking tour will be available when scarecrows have been installed.

 

*Please note all scarecrows must be removed by 11/2. Any items left after this date will be picked up and recycled and/or thrown away. *

  • Each entry may receive one bale of hay to build their scarecrow (to be picked up at Rucker Farm). Would you like a bale of hay? Your location will already have hay ready for you to place your scarecrow on, this hay is for building your scarecrow if needed. Please note, if your school has 5 or more entires, hay can be delivered to the schools.
  • Please confirm understanding that scarecrows need to be removed by 11/2. Anything remaining on 11/4 /24 will be picked up & cannot be returned.
