STEAM & History Ed Displays

The North Carolina Fossil Festival celebrates the Aurora Fossil Museum and the rich fossil record of North Carolina. Join us for a family-friendly event steeped in tradition and good old-fashioned southern charm. Activities include digging for fossils, fossil displays, fossil auction, educational displays by partner nonprofit organizations, movie night, parade, live entertainment, food & craft vendors, dinosaur shows, glow party, and much, much more!

The Aurora Fossil Museum would love for your non-profit organization to participate in the very popular STEAM & History Education component of the North Carolina Fossil Festival.

 

This key educational component of the festival provides a means for nonprofits to introduce their organizations to festival attendees. No application fee is required, just a willingness to share STEAM & History with festival participants!

 

Tables, chairs, refreshments, and lunch will be provided. This year, the Education Exhibitors will be located near the Aurora Fossil Museum's Learning Center, under a large tent. A "Kid's Pit" and "Kid's Zone" will be strategically located near the STEAM & History Education Tent with access to the Kid's Zone and Pit occurring through the STEAM & History Education Tent.

 

Education organizations will need to be set up on Saturday morning by 10 am with take down beginning at 5 pm. Afterwards, please plan to stick around, sit back, relax, and listen to live music and enjoy the festival.

Please read all the information below before beginning your application. As an exhibitor, you are responsible for understanding all terms and conditions. By submitting your application, you agree to all North Carolina Fossil Festival Terms and Conditions.

• Applying does not guarantee acceptance into the festival.
• Only applications submitted through this webpage will be accepted.
• Applications missing photos will not be considered.
• Applications are due by 6 pm EST on May 05, 2024.
• Applicants will be notified via email of the decision.
• Approved applications will receive information concerning event logistics and check-in location following the approval email.

By submitting this application, I agree to hold the Aurora Fossil Museum Foundation, Inc., the Town of Aurora, and the North Carolina Fossil Festival harmless for any injury or loss to any person, equipment, property, or goods for any cause whatsoever. I also agree that the stated organizations cannot be held responsible for any claims for damage, injury, or loss arising from or in connection with using the space or grounds during the North Carolina Fossil Festival. Exhibitors not adhering to the terms and conditions will be asked to leave the festival area and will not be allowed to participate in future Fossil Festivals.
 
I also understand that the NC Fossil Festival is a rain or shine event. In the event the NC Fossil Festival is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, the NC Fossil Festival Crew will make every possible effort to notify exhibitors in a timely manner.
