Pink Pig Run for Tatas

Enjoy a 5K run or one-mile walk on the University of Mount Olive campus and surrounding neighborhoods on the morning of the Pickles, Pigs & Swigs festival in downtown Mount Olive. Check in starts at 7:15 a.m. in front of UMO's Kornegay Arena, and both 5K and 1-mile walk start at 8 a.m. This event is organized as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society by a group of students from the University of Mount Olive.

Check-in opens at 7:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Kornegay Arena, 634 Henderson Street, Mount Olive. The 5K run and 1-mile walk begins at 8 a.m. The route winds through campus and adjoining neighborhoods. Proceeds from the run will benefit the American Cancer Society.

 

Registrations received by October 14 guarantee an event shirt on run day. Participants who register after October 14 may or may not receive a shirt on run day. Registrations will be accepted online through Thursday, October 27, and in person on run day. Contributions to the American Cancer Society will be accepted on run day.

 

Once the run/walk is over, head to downtown Mount Olive for the second annual Pickles, Pigs & Swigs festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more details, go to www.picklespigsswigs.com

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Fees - $15 per person, $10 for UMO students registering with their UMO email accounts. No charge for children in strollers or wagons.

 

NO REFUNDS FOR RUN FEES.

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS. If runner is under 18 years of age, a parent  or guardian must complete the application and sign. Runners under the age of 12 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.
