Holiday Lights Contest Terms and Conditions 1. Eligibility: This contest is open to residents of the City of Obetz Entrants must be 18 years or older. Only one entry per household is allowed. 2. Submission Guidelines: To enter, submit a clear photo of your decorated property showcasing your holiday lights and decorations. Photos should be original and depict decorations installed on the exterior of your property this coming 2024 winter season. Submissions must be received by December 13th at 5:00pm. 3. Categories: Entries will be judged in the following categories: Modern – For sleek, contemporary designs. Classic – For traditional holiday themes and styles. Clark Griswold Award – For the brightest, boldest display. Council’s Choice – Selected by community council members. Mayor’s Choice – Selected by the Mayor. Senior Choice – Selected by a panel of senior community members. 4. Judging and Awards: Judging will be based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the category theme. Winners will be selected and announced the week of December 16th. We will reach out to you via email and post to social media. All decisions by the judging panel are final. 5. Recognition and Prizes: Winners will be recognized on the City of Obetz's Facebook page and be given a sign to post in their yard. Winners will be given two, free, annual passes to the Obetz Athletic Club. No other monetary or alternative prizes will be provided. 6. Consent: By entering, participants consent to their names and photos of their decorated property being used for promotional purposes by the City of Obetz including online and in print. 7. Community Viewing: Participating addresses will be shared with the community to allow neighbors to view the holiday displays in person. 8.
