Come to the Kissimmee Civic Center on Saturday, February 17, 2024, to enjoy the City of Kissimmee's African American Read-In event in partnership with Osceola County Library. The African American Read-In is a unique open-mic style event that celebrates African-American and Black authors and artists who have made significant cultural and artistic impacts on our nation and the world. We invite you to volunteer to read or perform a selection at this event. Selections can be provided for you, OR you can bring your own piece. As part of this celebration, all pieces read must have been written by African American and Black Authors.
