Reading Pride is a 501(c)(3) not for profit founded in 2006 by a group of friends who thought our community needed a Pride Festival. Since then Reading Pride has put on 17 consistent years of festivals. Our festival has grown each year, with attendance from all over the commonwealth and neighboring states. Our festival has led to many expansions of our initial mission, launching new programs, and expanding the services we offer to the LGBTQIA+ community. Our Mission: To celebrate the diversity in the LGBTQ+ community of Greater Reading. Reading Pride Celebration is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion by building a community that embraces and supports differences and seeks to eliminate racial oppression, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ablesism, and other forms of oppression.
