Description

Our wood yarn boxes, which are made in our own workshop, are designed to hold your yarn while you are working on your project. It is a great way to hold your yarn that you are working from so that it doesn't get dirty or roll away from you. They work well for pulling the yarn from either the outside or the center of the ball. The sliding lid protects your yarn from curious pets and children. The notched lid and box front are designed so that you can easily remove your work during progress if you need to leave your yarn box behind when you are on the go. They are also great for storing small items and collections, like jewelry, coins, stitchmarkers, etc. Great for gifts! Our yarn boxes are made from domestic and exotic hardwoods. We make our wood boxes with an outside dimension of 5 1/2" square and 4 1/2" in height and inside dimensions of 4 1/2" square and 3 5/8" in height. This will easily hold a 100g or 4 oz. ball of yarn or larger, especially for finer gauge yarns. We use linseed oil as a finish which allows for the natural grain and color of the wood to show through. The sliding lid has a small rare earth magnet at the back to keep it in place. We make our boxes by hand to the same dimensions but no two are ever exactly the same because each piece of wood is unique. The pictures shown are representative and are not the exact same as the item you will receive. Use the Order Comments section for any order preferences pertaining to color, wood grain features, etc..and we will accommodate if possible from our in stock items.
