Windmill Storm

*Two piece set This one-of- a-kind, fused glass sgraffito drawing is created by manipulating multiple layers of colored crushed glass powders with business cards, rubber tools, and my fingers. The drawing is melted in a kiln at 1460F to melt the crushed glass onto a sheet glass base to make the drawing permanent, then the windmills were carved out with a diamond wheel to expose the glass below. The piece was re-fired after carving to regain a smooth surface. Both pieces are mounted on India ink stained poplar bases with hanging hardware.
