Wild Horse Photography Classes

There are 4 herds of wild horses in Shannon county Missouri. On the first day, we will go out to photograph the horses at sunrise, shooting until the light is too harsh. There will be a break for lunch and we will reconvene about 2 to review images and to head back out until dark. We will head out again on the second day before sunrise and shoot again until the light is too harsh. Recommend driving down the night before (will send directions and hotel information). If you want to review how to use a dslr before the photoshoot, I will be there the night before and available to review basics starting at 7pm. We meet Friday evening to go over basics, safety and logistics. Then we meet up and go to find horses about 5:45 or 6AM and shoot until the light gets too hot, usually around 10:30 or 11 unless it is overcast. After that we come back and eat or I will point out other places you can shoot if you would like. We get back together about 2PM to go over post processing, see what changes need to be made to improve the images for the next shoot. Then we head out about 4 to go find horses again. We shoot until we loose the light then head in for dinner. Generally the shadows in the field get pretty long by about 6:30 or 7, again depending on cloud cover. We go out again to find the horses on Sunday between 5:45 and 6AM and shoot until the light is too strong. We usually finish about 11AM.
