"Whither" is inspired by my travels in Spain, where I am always struck by the sheer number of birds in the sky -- and by their song. Here a flock flies away -- whither?
Acrylic paint on canvas, 14" x 11". The sides are painted a dark blue-gray, suitable for hanging as is. It would also look great in a floater frame.

Printmaking is my passion.
I love the challenge of creating an image using linoleum blocks: how to convey shape, volume, texture, and movement using only the binary of black and white.
I also love the physical process of making prints. Carving a block reminds me of the rhythm of walking, and creates a meditative mood. Printing a block by hand includes the excitement of the first reveal -- even if I've been carving a block for weeks, the final print is still a surprise.
I hope you will find my artwork to be challenging, surprising, thought-provoking, and fun.
