For "Big Bag" enthusiasts these bags are my largest cowboy boot purses handmade from reclaimed western cowboy boots. Each handmade leather purse is spacious enough for laptop totes, diaper or overnight bags. These extra large boot purses are hand-crafted from three cowboy boot uppers and luxurious leather accents.
Measures 15" Tall and 17" Wide. Base 16"x3.5" and 18" strap shoulder drop.
Weight 2.5+/- lbs
These are one-of-a-kind bags, I don't make any two the same. My large western handbags feature beautiful leather embellishments, vintage belts and gorgeous conchos. Each cowboy boot purse has a magnetic closure, original boot interior, tote-style without pockets, complimentary tack around a pine or balsa base. Straps and trim are made from reclaimed leather and vegan belts.
Each western leather purse is truly crafted one-of-a-kind by hand. I don't use any machines and I don't make any two the same. I hand-punch, hand-lace and hand-rivet each handmade boot purse. I make my western leather purses unique because a purse should be as special as the lady who carries it. Some purses have scuffs, irregularities or defects from the boot factory. This ads to it's character. By using recycled, factory seconds and irregulars you get a purse made from unworn boots.
Jill Batina writes..."Love love love my laptop bag~~get compliments every time I use it!!"
Sandra states..."Very pleased with this one. The purse is more exquisite than the pictures show. Fine craftsmanship and tastefully decorated. I'm going to enjoy using it for a long time."

Hey there! My name is Chris Thompson. I am a professional artist, boot wrangler and purse designer. I am a proud Mom, loved daughter, Jesus follower, animal lover and slave to two cats.
I fell in love with the beauty of western boots about 12 years ago when I was at an interim job in the middle of career changes. When the “career" change turned out to be a “life” change I started making handbags from a pile of worn-out boots in my garage. Thousands of purses later, and dozens of new designs, I packed my lovelies up and took them on the road 6 yrs ago to Stock Shows, Rodeos and Fine Art Festivals in the Rocky Mountain and Southwestern states.
I've been called the "Louis Vuitton of Cowboy Boot Purses" which makes me chuckle and fills my heart. There's plenty of ladies out there making purses out of old boots. I wanted to elevate that... because why would I settle for what everyone else is doing? And why should you settle for what everyone else is making?
Yes, I accept commissions to make a special bag with your boots. Please drop me a line.
