Wall Tile Art

INVENTORY #19078 A series of tiles created from clay slabs, carved and impressed with original designs reflecting the artist’s observation of nature and years of scuba diving, plant life, textures and terrain. Then the tiles are bisque fired, hand-painted with underglazes, glaze trailed and dipped in a base glaze for a final kiln firing before being attached with a commercial glue to a painted black wood piece which is wired with eye hooks for hanging. The tiles are created with B-Mix clay, a white, Cone 6, mid-fire clay fired in oxidation to 2200ºF.
