Crafted from a broken piece of vintage Irish Wade pottery. Features a dualback allowing it to be worn as a pin or a pendant and measures 1.5" x 1.25"_x000D_n_x000D_n<em><strong>About Irish Wade -- 1946-1989</strong></em>_x000D_n<i>The Wade family began producing ceramics 1867 in England, and in the 1940s they opened a factory in Portadown, County Armagh. The company’s trademark blue-green glaze was a mistake, and when attempts by other Wade potteries to copy its unique characteristics failed, the Irish staff claimed they were aided by “leprechauns in the kiln.” The Irish Wade factory created the first sets of small, collectible ceramic animal figurines. Although they were marked “Made in England,” Irish Wade produced sets marked with even numbers and English Wade produced odd sets.</i>
