As a result, some referred to it as 'poor man's Tiffany'. It earned its current name in the 1950s when it became a coveted prize at carnivals and fairs. Over 500 colors of carnival glass have been identified, but the most popular was marigold, followed by amethyst/purple, blue, and green.</em>
