Vintage Carnival Glass Shard Pendant

Crafted from a broken piece of vintage carnival glass. Measures 1.5" x 1"_x000D_n_x000D_n<em><strong>Carnival Glass - Early 1900s</strong></em>_x000D_n<em>Mimicking the iridescent finish of expensive, decorative glassware by companies such as Tiffany and Loetz, carnival glass was marketed as an affordable, yet beautiful alternative. As a result, some referred to it as 'poor man's Tiffany'. It earned its current name in the 1950s when it became a coveted prize at carnivals and fairs. Over 500 colors of carnival glass have been identified, but the most popular was marigold, followed by amethyst/purple, blue, and green.</em>
