This is a one-of-a-kind journal made from a rescued volume of the 1910 "Twelve Centuries of English Poetry and Prose". I have adorned the original cover with scrap pieces of brown, patterned mat board, gold brads, and part of a discarded earring. The gold-edged ribbon, in addition to adorning the cover, serves to anchor the long-stitch and kettle-stitch binding, visible on the spine. The pages of the journal are made from water-stressed paper. I include out-of-context quotes from the original book on some of the pages to be used as writing prompts (or for possible use in a game of "name the author"?).
