Dichroic Glass-
Is a NASA developed process. The glass is spun in a high pressure vacuum chamber, while 20-30 layers of vaporized mineral salts are sprayed on with ion guns. This produces an art glass that displays dynamic color change know as refraction that changes the colors at different angles. Some pieces are fused together, some are hand blown blown. Some pieces are known as float glass, which is very thin and has a 30 layer coating of vacuum compressed mineral salts. The fused kilns glass is fired between 1480-2000 degrees. We hope you enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of your Glass Art.

Sonya started selling Judaica in her 350 sq. ft. glass gallery/studio in 1999, after attending a conference where she met her first Israeli mentor, Dr. Danny Ben-Gigi. Which later grew into Bat-Tzion Hebrew Learning Center, in 2004-2010. Sonya’s love of glass was a big part of her transition in her journey back to Judaism. Sonya’s discoveries have seemed to link her to both her Jewish and glass history.
Sonya has traveled to Israel to organize anousim conferences, tours, and advocate for B’nai Anousim and their acceptance back into the Jewish community. She has worked with many rabbi’s who whom are currently working with anousim communities to facilitate the anousim return fully to Judaism. She has lectured for Road Scholars for the meet a converso program in Albq., NM.
Sonya’s story has been featured in the Fractured Faith Museum exhibit at the Santa Fe Historic Museum along with several new paper articles, magazines, Jewish television, radio programs, documentaries, academic conferences, books, NPR, and fund raisers.
