Description
Original oil on canvas framed in "floating" whitewashed wooden frame to expose gallery wrap. Canvas size is 48" square. My frames add 3" to the height/width dimensions of the canvas size. Framed dimensions are 51" H x 51" W. Dimensions noted below are for the shipping crate if shipping via FedEx. I have many fond memories of fishing with my dad and grandfather in East Galveston Bay. When the sun sank low suffusing the sky with pink and violet, I knew it was time to head home.

I paint in studio with oils on canvas from photographs I take as I travel the coastal South. I have such wonderful memories of growing up at the beach on the Bolivar Peninsula that I am particularly drawn to paint coastal birds, boats and landscapes near the shore. I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from our hometown university, Lamar University. After a career in advertising, I returned to my first love - painting.
